Overview of the Heirloom Platform
Welcome to Heirloom!
The Heirloom platform is a multimedia platform to help our users create and organize their most important memories, connections, and life story into their own unique Legacy Room which can be shared and preserved for the future.
There are several "features and areas" of the Heirloom platform as follows:
- Dashboard - The general interface where a user can manage their Heirloom account and data.
- Keepsakes - Multi-media memories such as photos and images, videos, and voice notes. Keepsakes can also be "tagged" with other people that were connected to that memory. Additionally, Keepsakes can be dated on a timeline.
- Life Timeline - A chronological timeline that can be populated with the important Keepsakes.
- My Tribe - This feature allows a user to manage various connections with other people throughout their life, such as family and friends, mentors, co-workers, and any other meaningful connection a user has had in their lifetime.
- Family Tree - This feature is a sub-feature of the “My Tribe”, and focuses on close-relations such as immediate family, siblings, extended family through marriage, and other “blended” aspects of family connections and ancestry.
- Close Others - Persons in "My Tribe", that are NOT part of the Family Tree.
- Family Cookbook - This feature is a collection of recipes through a family history.
- DocuVault - This feature is a secure storage area for important documents and records, which allows their management and organization, as well as ability to “transfer” the DocuVault to trusted “Trustee” sources, upon a user’s future wishes or death.
- Weaver - A chatbot assistant that helps a user navigate the platform and features.
- Legacy Room - The Legacy Room is what is “created”, the end result, the digital collection and representation of a person’s life.
- Trustee - A user that has been granted “custody” privileges for another person’s account.
- Patron - A user that is managing an Heirloom platform account, and creating a Legacy Room, for a separate person.
- Freeze / Unfreeze - A feature that controls the active status of a user’s Legacy Room and their data.
